In the beginning of my fly fishing days, I opted to confuse myself.Not intentionally of course, but mostly because I wasn’t totally sure of what I was actually doing. I’d buy my gear from renowned fly fishing places both online and in person. I didn’t know any reason not to, and yet I always felt like there was a disconnect for sure, but I didn’t know how to resolve this.
I grew up in the generation where it was like buy your stuff from stores but get everything else online. It was really weird to try and make any real connections between products.
I didn’t realize that there could be a one stop shop where I could get everything I needed, so I decided to be sloppy and order online and sometimes in stores and back and forth and so it goes.
I was learning first hand that this wasn’t really working for me. Nothing flowed like I expected it to. It made me realize that looking into a place where I could potentially purchase everything together might make my experiences flow so much more smoothly.
I knew this was going to be a feat, but one that was well worth it. I hunkered down and got myself into some serious research. I went through some duds, but then I suddenly found the holy grail.
I stumbled upon Trouts Fly Fishing during a moment of weakness, (And honestly, even if it wasn’t, in a moment of weakness I still would have seen the light), and I feel like I had just found my savior. Firstly, resources were phenomenal, guide recommendations were like godsends, and just how thorough they were with the knowledge of their products was astounding.
I spoke with a customer service agent, who was outstanding by the way, who gave me some different suggestions to check out and I was well on my way into the matrix of Trouts Fly Fishing, yet again. I went ahead and purchased the G. Loomis IMX-PRO Fly Rod. It was the best decision I had ever made.
I was finally at the point where I felt that all of my gear could be purchased from one single place. How much easier would that be for me? It would make things so much easier in terms of flow between products, on top of shipping and deliveries.
There was no more questioning when something would arrive, if the products would play well together, or anything like that. We are beyond happy that we use Trouts Fly Fishing as our one stop shop now. They are wonderful- from educational resources to their quality products.
